AMARNATH YATRA BY HELICOPTER (FROM BALTAL)
DAY 1: SRINAGAR – BALTAL
Our services will start on arrival in Srinagar airport. You will be met by our representative & transfer to Baltal which is the most beautiful drive from Srinagar. On arrival at Baltal check into Tent/huts. Rest of the day free to relax. Overnight stay at Baltal.
DAY 2: AMARNATH DARSHAN
Early morning begin your Amarnath Yatra by helicopter from the Baltal huts which are just 10 minutes walk away from the Helipad. The helicopter operates between 6:00 a.m. And 1:00 p.m. Helicopter operates till Panchtarni then 6 kms. Trek from Panchtarni to Amarnath cave. You can also take Palki or Pony. After darshan return back to Baltal & you will be met by our driver. Transfer by vehicle from baltal to Srinagar. It takes approx three hours to reach Srinagar. On arrival at Srinagar check into Houseboat. After relaxation enjoy the sightseeing tour that includes visit to Mughal gardens. Overnight stay at Srinagar Houseboat/Hotel.
DAY 3: SRINAGAR DEPARTURE
After breakfast time free till departure. Transfer by car to Srinagar airport for your flight to next destination.

Early morning begin your Amarnath Yatra by helicopter from Pahalgam. The helicopter operates between 6:00 a.m. And 1:00 p.m. Helicopter operates till Panchtarni then 6 kms. Trek from Panchtarni to Amarnath cave. You can also take Palki or Pony. After darshan return back to Pahalgam & you will be met by our driver. Transfer by vehicle from Pahalgam to Srinagar. It takes approx four hours to reach Srinagar. On arrival at Srinagar check into Houseboat. After relaxation enjoy the sightseeing tour that includes visit to Mughal gardens. FACTS ABOUT AMARNATH
This year, there are some changes in the Amarnath Yatra by Helicopter and some of the facts relating to Yatra are as given below:
- Yatra will start from 1st July, 2010 and will continue upto to Rakshabandhan i.e. 24th Agust, 2010.
- Helicopters will fly from two destinations i.e. Baltal and Pahalgam.
- 3 Helicopter Operators will operate Pawan Hans, Himalayan & Global Vectra.
- Helicopters will land at Panchtarni (height 12700 ft. – situated on old Pahalgam route) which is 6 K.M. from Caves (instead of about 200 mtrs. from Cave previously).
- Helicopter will take about 7 Minutes from Baltal (one way) and about 15 Minutes from Pahalgam (one way) to/from Panchtarni.
- Since Panchtarni Helipad is 6 K.M. away, the Pilgrims can reach Caves only by Horse, Palki or by foot.
- Taking into account, the travel time between Panchtarni to Cave & back, Pilgrims who will get early Helicopter flights may come back same day (weather permitted); all other Pilgrims may not be able to reach back to Panchtarni to catch the Helicoper on the same day for the return journey to Baltal. In that case, they have two alternatives i.e. a) They stay overnight at Panjtarni.b) They take a land route on return journey for which they will travel from Cave to Sangam 3 K.M. (point for joining Baltal & Pahalgam land route and is midway 3 K.M. away each side between Panchtarni and Cave). From there, turn to Baltal (instead of going to Panchtarni) which will be 11 K.M. from Sangam (total 14 K.M). Thereby, they will travel 8 K.M. extra i.e. 14 K.M. (Cave – Baltal) – 6KM (Cave – Panchtarni) extra to arrive at Baltal.
