Once you taken the “Irumudi Kettu” you travel to Kerala by air/ rail or bus; easiest being the train and alight at the closest railway station Chengannur.
As soon as you alight you get to hire private taxis or KSRTC buses are seen waiting which runs at regular frequency based on train timings right from the station.
You board the bus and travel for 4 hours to reach the base station Pamba where you get down a take a holy dip in the river Pamba. This is a sacred dip taken by all pilgrims before commencing the climb to sannidhanam
